Here's a few pics from a 104 mile dual sport loop we did on Wed, 5/2.
Left to right: Kim from Sedona on a drz, Tom from Prescott on a husky, Jim from Ash Fork on a Honda 450, & scotty from sedona on a drz.
The usual nice views.. a great day, warm weather & sunny.
The first half of the ride had the most challenging trails.. there were sandy washes & lots of rocky, rutted roads. This one was on top.
I wanted Tom to make a big wake going through the water.. but he was a wuss.. of course, no one else did, either.
I had a hard time getting Jim in a picture.. he's a former racer, & was usually way in front.
We met a couple of guys on ktm's going back.. they were covering a lot of ground that day... some pretty rough trails for those bikes..
At the halfway point at crown king.. good food, a rest, some good conversation (some of it true), & gas up & head back.
Better roads coming back, but very twisty.
Finally, here's the track & map of the route:
